Struction is the only AI construction tool that estimates a whole project in 10 minutes, or gets you a GMP in days. We use large language models, computer vision, and proprietary object detection to generate a full Bill of Materials, perform quantity takeoffs, and price each component and scope of work. Struction's AI chat can even modify scopes of work, assemblies.

Do we need casings for the storefront entrance doors? Or is it included in the glazing system?
It appears the casings for the glass exterior doors are built into the mullions from the
Store-front Windows (#677)
. We've priced it at $27.50 / SF over the glazed area of 567 SF for a total of $15,592.50. The notes on Sheet G003 appear to point that out. That might be why you don't see the casing as a line item near the doors. Would you like me to perform a new takeoff?
What gauge studs does this project require? Is there any acoustic insulation?
This project requires 16 GA and 20 GA studs, as seen in the
Interior Wall Schedule
on Sheet A101. There are a few interior wall components in the Bill of Materials that represent this schedule and the accompanying components (#493, #494, #495, #496, & #497). Both line items #494 and #496 require acoustic insulation to attenuate sound from the bathrooms. Do note that these insulated walls also require wall blocking for the hand dryer (#816), grab bars (#819), hand sink (#302), and diaper changing station (#820).
I'm not sure how to orient the water softener system in the kitchen. Where should it go and how do I orient it correctly?
The
Water Softener System (#312)
should go in the nook to the right of the
Water Heater (#299)
and
Mop Sink (#304)
within the work room. It should be placed against the right wall of the nook with the valve head close right wall. Note that the
Brine Tank (#313)
has to sit in front of the water softener system, so push the water softener system back until it is flush with the back wall. Make sure not to block the GFCI outlet which will power the water softener system, and also leave room for the
Reverse Osmosis Permeate Tank (#315)
.
